Photo ID
2016
It is customary to show neutrality of emotions in photo identification portraits, albeit this kind of picture represents our identity regardless of our feelings or what we think. In this series, I aim to show how we conform to societal standards that may or may not reveal our true self or represent some unknown view of ourselves. I seek to show the ways in which we modify our behaviors, emotions, and personalities to socially conform but still maintain the essence of who we are. Indeed, this can be viewed as a metaphor for life on a grander scale, yet unearthed here through a juxtaposition of photography and conjunctions.
